Meeting Notes

Meeting Attendance and Success Criteria

As only two Residents attended, it was agreed that there was little point in going over the planned topic of Communal Repairs, rather there was significant discussion about whether the meeting was achieving its goals, whether the group should continue, and planning for future meetings.

In terms of delivery, JD expressed the view that from the ISHA perspective the group had already made a signficant contribution by pushing through the creation of the Local KPIs, and that from her perspective the group was very much needed.

In terms of attendance all agreed that it would be important to get more Residents attending, but there was recognition that as a working group focused on a fairly dry subject (rather than an involvement forum) then there were never likely to be large numbers of Residents in attendance.

After further discussion it was agreed that the future attendance may be improved if the group published a program of dates, with specific themes for each meeting. it was also agreed that as the next meeting was going to focus on communal repairs, JD would write to all Residents who have complained about communal repairs to specifically invite them to the next meeting.

Plans for Future Meetings

Dates have now been set for meetings until October (16th June, 7th July, 8th September and 13th October).

The themes will be as follows:

June
An opportunity for Residents to express their views about the Communal repairs process, and the process of handling Defects in New Build properties.

July
Working with ISHA to agree specific improvement actions based on the views expressed at the June meeting

September
ISHA will present back on their work to plan a strategy for energy and security improvements to older properties, and to create Local KPIs around these activities. There will also be an opportunity to discuss ways in which Residents can have more input to "repair or replace" decisions, and other situations where ISHA have to decide which action will provide greater value for money.

October
Reviewing the first six months of local KPIs figures.

Review of Previous Actions

The Meeting Actions page has been updated to reflect the review.

Chair

When the group was established JE agreed to be Chair for 3 months. The arrangements for future meetings were discussed, and JE agreed to remain Chair for the time being, to be reviewed in October. AvR agreed to be Vice-Chair to provide cover for the meeting when JE was not available.
